SUN CITY – Ordinarily when you ask a woodchuck to do something, youâll get back a âchuck-chuckâ noise in return. Or in moments of anxiety or danger, a shrill whistle or, perhaps, even a hiss.

But on Wednesday, April 14, Sun City residents got back repaired furniture at the Ask the Woodchucks event hosted by the Sun City Woodchucks woodworking club.
Ask the Woodchucks comes around twice a year, once in the spring and again the fall. Woodchucks President Don Keene of N.17 said theyâve been hosting the event for about six or seven years and have been able to repair or almost fully repair any piece brought in.
âWe can fix something or put some basic repairs to furniture that they [residents] wouldnât be able to get done any place else,â Keene said. âThe members here will take their time to do it to the best of their ability. And so we end up generally with a very nice result in what we do.â
