SUN CITY – Sun City’s Bocce Club is one of, if not, the biggest Charter Club of all. The 700-member Bocce Ball group is planning its post-league tournament on August 30, and it should be one of the biggest competitive events of the year. Get there early if you want a good parking space. If it rains, the event will be held on August 31.
All summer, the club’s 18 leagues have been competing five days a week on the impressive courts in front of the new Activity Center (formerly the Sales Center). Non-league play is permitted on weekends. Club officials say there will be intense competition among the best players, teams, and leagues, and there will be trophies and honors galore to follow.
The club’s annual dinner, awards, and general meeting will be held at the Boulder Ridge Country Club on September 9 at 5:30 p.m.
