HUNTLEY – Sometimes it takes a lot to be a winner. Sometimes it takes just a little. And sometimes it takes no more than hopping across the street to Drendel’s Corner and buying any number of Lottery tickets or scratch-and-win cards.

Drendel’s Corner is ranked one of the highest in Lottery ticket sales in the Rockford area and awards thousands of dollars weekly, especially with Lottery’s new Cash Spectacular scratch-and-win game, which Lottery officials and Drendel’s Corner recently promoted at a special event in September, introducing many Huntley area residents to the new game.
According to the Lottery’s website, “$200 Million Cash Spectacular will have the largest instant payout of any $10 game in Illinois Lottery history and will award 25 top prizes of $1,000,000 with over $200,000,000 in total cash prizes. This instant game also offers a second-chance drawing for players to win a chance to compete at regional basketball Free Throw contests where they can win cash prizes for themselves and their local school districts.”
For over four generations, the Drendel family has been a driving force in the Huntley community, and Jim Drendel is glad to continue that legacy by offering guests of Drendel’s Corner a plethora of services from supplying gas to stocking a wide selection of snacks and other baked goods, to even catering services and, of course, the possibility of “scratching” it rich.
