Studies have shown that the lack of sunlight increases the risk of skin cancer. Skin cancer is more likely found on parts of the body covered up or not exposed to sunlight. It is also found among people with indoor jobs or who sit under fluorescent lights.
Why the conflict of advice then?
The answer is NOT TO ABUSE THE SUN BUT TO USE THE SUN THERAPEUTICALLY.
We do this by not laying out or staying in the sun for hours but by choosing the amount of time our bodies are exposed to the sun for its good vitamin D. We do so by not covering with sunscreen products that are dangerous chemicals and block Vitamin D.
