If you are looking to have a smooth holiday with your four-legged friend, you may want to sit him down and tell him the rules and guidelines below that will need to be followed. I would make him sign it so there are no misunderstandings! Have a happy holiday season, everyone!
Rules for the dog during the holiday season:
I will do my best not to jump on people when they enter the house.
I will not steal food off the buffet table.
I will not steal cookies off the counter.
I will remember that ornaments on the tree are not balls to be thrown in the air and played with.
I will remember that the branches on the tree are not for me to tug on and play with.
I will not drink out of glasses that are left within my reach.
I will not pull any of the characters out of the nativity scene in the yard and play with them.
I will not “water” the tree.
I will not “water” the snowman out front either.
I understand that I am not to beg for food, but I reserve the right to eat any scraps left on the floor.
I will be tolerant of people putting antlers and Santa hats on me. (Though I may not be happy about it!)
And finally, I promise not to bite the big man with a white beard, red suit, and a very loud laugh who comes down the fireplace in the middle of the night on Christmas eve!
