Adrenal Gland Exhaustion – It is a known fact that the more refined salt and sugar we eat plays havoc on many glands of our bodies. Using unrefined salt helps with these conditions.
Asthma: At onset of wheezing, place one large pinch of salt on tongue and drink 8 oz. of water.
Exercise: At the start of exercise, take one large pinch of unrefined salt with glass of water. Will prevent muscle cramps and aid in muscle recovery.
Fatigue: Helps produce energy in the body. Low salt diets promote fatigue.
Gastritis: Taking a large pinch of salt with meals helps prevent reflux because it is an alkalinizing agent and helps to buffer acidity in the stomach.
Hay fever: Mix 1/4 tsp. of unrefined salt with 1/4 tsp. baking soda in 8 ounces of good water. Use as a nasal spray. This acts as an antibacterial and antihistamine agent.
Insect Bites and Bee Stings: Cover area with warm salt paste. Pain and itching are relieved.
Insomnia: One large pinch of salt with small amount of warm water acts as a hypnotic agent.
Low sodium blood serum levels: These are common with people on a low salt diet and those on diuretics. Sodium is important for many different areas of the body including brain function, hormone production, and energy. Salt intake needs to be increased but must be unrefined.
Muscle cramps: For nighttime cramps, take one large pinch of salt with water at bedtime.
Good salts are Celtic and can be ordered from Grain & Salt Society or found in most health food stores. My favorite is Himalayan and may be ordered through Dr. Mercola.
The miracle of unrefined salt is it helps clear up many conditions and may be used on everything without fear of over-salting.

Thank you Ms. Norma for your articles! I enjoy reading the things that you publish. I’ll definitely have to remember the salt trick for insect bites in the future.
Thanks again!
