HUNTLEY – With Grafton Township bus service having ended for Rutland and Hampshire Township riders on Nov. 30, the Village of Huntley has begun offering rides to those residents left without service through a voucher program.
The program, readable online at: huntley.il.us/documents/SeniorTravelVoucherProgram.pdf, includes service Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for seniors 55 and over living in Rutland and Hampshire Townships. The charge is $2 per ride and rates are subject to change. Caregivers of riders can ride for free, though riders must be able to enter and exit the vehicle independently. The service area is limited the corporate boundaries of the Village of Huntley.
