SUN CITY – Heading to Sun City tonight (September 11) for the first time is DJ Jay Frank, and it’s his intention to get you to Dance the Night Away with him.
Frank has been a professional DJ for 23 seasons but has been playing since the 80s. He has been a DJ at the Hanover Township Senior Center for 15 years and enjoys their fun and positive energy.
“I enjoy music, it is a huge part of my life,” Frank said. “My love of music is what pointed me in the direction of being a DJ.”
In hopes that people will have a good time, Frank will be taking requests for music anywhere from country to rock and aims to motivate dancing.
“The audience is important to the success to any evening, and it’s the DJ’s job to adjust to the audience,” Frank said.
Although Frank cannot change the preconceptions people may have, he believes that people will connect with his style of performing and enjoy the change of pace that live musicians cannot give.
The event will be $8 per resident and $13 for the public with an additional $5 if the tickets are purchased the day of the event.
“Bring comfortable shoes and loose fitting clothes because we will be dancing the night away,” Frank said.
