Make a commitment now to get out and vote in November

Every day we hear people complaining about the “Do Nothing Congress.” Well, there is only one solution to that. Get out and vote for Progressive candidates this November, who will work with the President to get things done. If you don’t vote, don’t complain. Your vote can make a difference.

Yes, President Obama is reported to have said, “Democrats do have one congenital disease and that is that we don’t vote during midterms, and we don’t feel the same sense of urgency during midterms. But this is where the rubber hits the road.” As the Tea Party tries to do with everything the President says, prove President Obama wrong. Get out and vote.

There is urgency in the next, mid-term, general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. So, Progressives, make a strong commitment now to get out and vote in this midterm. And get your fellow Progressives out to vote too. Make Change Happen!

For Illinois’ Fourteenth Congressional District, in which Sun city is located, to have a representative in Congress pledged to work to: address the crisis of income and wealth inequality; protect Social Security and Medicare; create many new jobs through the rebuilding of our crumbling infrastructure; raise the minimum wage; overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision; work for immigration reform, health care, education, and end our disastrous trade policies, we all have to get to the polls and vote for candidate Dennis Anderson, a pragmatic worker who will truly represent his constituents to get things done. The House of Representatives election is important as Senator or Governor. Sitting home and complaining about the situation in Washington won’t make the needed changes. So, mark your calendar, make your plans, and be sure to get out and make change happen – Vote for Dennis Anderson.
