The Sun City Train Club would like to thank all our residents, friends and neighbors who supported us this past Holiday Season and helped set an eight year attendance record. In reflecting on the event, it seemed like this year we always had people viewing the layouts, buying raffle tickets, or just reliving old but fond memories from days gone by. One thing is certain; it’s always difficult to figure out who has more fun at the display, the kids squealing with delight or our members enjoying the kids’ enthusiasm and excitement. For all this we thank you.
This year’s raffle winners were Barb Saracco, Carol Homer, and Nathan Stablien. Each person won a Canadian Pacific Passenger Train, including engine, passenger cars, track, and transformer. Also, special thanks go to our helpers who pulled the winning tickets; Ryan and Kaylie Gustafson, and Noah Dier-Zimmel.
Finally, before signing off for the season we’d like to take this opportunity to remind our friends and neighbors of the Spring open house on Sunday May 17 and our Sunday operations that will begin on Sunday May 24. Spring is a couple of months away and May will be here before you know it.
