What? Huntley has a radio station?
Are you kidding me? Where? Nobody told me! How can I listen?
We’re surprised that there are people who don’t know we exist. In spite of our columns in the Sun Day newspaper, our ads in the monthly Lifestyle magazine-in spite of our appearances at the Fall Fest and other events…believe it or not, there are still a lot of people who are surprised and still ask these questions.
Well, Huntley Community Radio’s board and friends are going to try to change that. We’re going to do our best to stop being invisible. Starting with the Memorial Day parade, we’re going to have a float. And we’re going to make the Fourth of July even more special. All of you who park at Jewel and other places to watch the fireworks, we’re going to ask everyone to tune their FM dials to 101.5, as we play great patriotic music tied into the timing of the fireworks display.
And that’s not all. As more of you have volunteered to help, we plan to be visible at the Farmers’ Markets and everywhere people can meet us, our program hosts and the gang who make WHRU real.
So look for us at the parade, the Fireworks and everywhere else.
Did you know that Paulette Rusk’s show “Table Talk” has returned with all new subjects. Her May show will feature poultry and is entitled “Poultry: More than Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts.” So tune to 101.5 FM every Saturday at 12:30 p.m. for Paulette’s show.
And don’t miss any of our great shows. Here’s an idea–turn your radio on in the morning and keep it on all day. You’ll be glad you did.
