SUN CITY – Eugene Rhodes has resigned from full-time service on the Sun City Community Association board of directors, a role to which he was elected for a two-year term last year. This creates a vacancy on the seven-member governing body that will be filled by the board later this year.
Rhodes said last week he is stepping down for health-related reasons, although he said he will remain active part-time on committees on an as-needed basis, and in other Sun City club and entertainment activities.
He is a past president and remains an active member of the Prairie Singers, continues as a V-tech tour guide, and as a member of the Civics Committee. He came to Sun City in 2000 and is a resident of Neighborhood 11. During a 30-year-plus business career he founded and managed enterprises in data entry and jewelry, gifts, and furniture sales.
