Kudos to Bill Berendt for his thoughts and comments regarding the possible collapse of the advisory committee structure and the outsourcing of our community finances to FSR. The regressive actions of the Board of Directors could prove to be costly to the community. The Finance Committee has always been a true watchdog of our community finances and an excellent advisor to the Board. Overlooking this Committee’s guidance is detrimental to the financial health and not in the best interests of our Sun City community.
Bill will be an excellent addition to this Board. He brings a career background of corporate finance and management which will fill a gap that now exists on the Board.

The unexpected news about Cynthia’s departure is reverberating throughout the community. The question that everyone is asking over and over is …why?
The consensus of residents who commented don’t accept the official stated reason as to…why?
Only Cynthia, the Board, and management know every actual detail as to why this decision came about.
Whatever managerial intrigue motivated the decision will never be known unless a future leak shares what and why it happened. Cynthia has served thousands of residents over the years with skill and enthusiasm. For that we all join in saying thank you for a job well done.
Our loss of a gigantic talent and diminutive body will be someone else’s gain.
