Dr. Scott Rowe is the new superintendent for Huntley Community School District 158. He is replacing John Burkey. Dr. Rowe was previously the principal of Huntley High School. He was instrumental in many of the programs which have improved the district in the recent past. These included implementing the high school’s nationally recognized blended learning program and 1:1 initiative, and establishing its medical, engineering, and new fine arts and global studies academies. He also led the planning team for the high school’s recently completed $35 million renovation and addition project.
The Civics Committee has invited him to share his vision for the future of the district and to answer questions which Sun City residents may have. This program will be on Monday, August 6, at 10 a.m. in the Birch Room.
