There is no published information regarding how many Sun City residents have passed on or have been infected by the virus. National statistics paint the extent of the devastation.
Good news is hard to come by, but once and a while it does happen. The availability of vaccines is a giant step forward to good news. Getting it to 300,000,000 citizens in the USA is a challenge. Getting it to 9,000 Sun City residents was a collective challenge for us.
But, here in Sun City, thanks to Walgreens and Osco, along with the cooperation and coordination of management and staff, obtaining a vaccination was made a lot easier for residents by being able to do so in the Prairie lodge.
That was a definite convenience for Walgreen, Osco and for all residents who didn’t have an alternate option.
It is unknown whether other common interest communities, locally and nationally, such as ours, provided a similar convenience but we can be thankful that Sun City Huntley did so.
