Because Hang Your Hat allows readers to express differing views, weād like to voice our disagreement with the strongly disparaging remarks about My Sunday News writer T.R. Kerth.
We find his columns filled with wit, humor and insightful comments about contemporary life here in these divided United states.
We do not believe a columnist should be censored because a reader labels that writer āa Left Wing Political Activistā without examples. Likewise announcing one has anti-liberal views and asserting all neighbors share such views reflects that personās political opinion, but it does not negate the clever and often surprisingly accurate observations and analogies that T.R. Kerth challenges us to consider.
Weāre grateful we continue to be able to express our differing opinions in this country and in My Sunday News. We look forward to reading future columns by Mr. Kerth.

In defense of TR Kerthās liberalism, I find it difficult to accept that 62% of republicans believe that the election was stolen from Trump after every judge including the ones Trump appointed found this to be one of Trumpās big lies.
I can accept conservatives like Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger that speak the truth and realize Biden won the election by over seven million votes and as the niece of Trump wrote in her book, Uncle Donald would never accept loss.
He turned his thugs on the Capitol on January 6 hoping to become another Hitler and his game plan failed and now the party of Trump in the Senate is refusing to hold a bi-partisan hearing to unearth the facts of this insurrection. What do they have to hide??? After the impeachment hearing in the Senate McConnell said Trump is 100% guilty of inciting this riot and should be held accountable but now as always he talks out of both sides of his mouth. Why is he blocking this investigation? What are they hiding?
Keep up the good work TR Kerth!

Iām hoping that the D-158 Board will abate the 2020 outrages taxes. It totally defies the 2020 was about…ie:COVID-19! Apparently Mr. Altmayer forgotten it. Let me refresh it.
1. In 12/17/20, Board Approved Mr. Altmayers Statement for 2020.āA homeowner with a $200,000 home will see an approximate $81 increase in the property tax bill for the school district (D-158)ā. According to his formula, mine increase would be $94.55. However, mine increase to $224.76 not $94.55. Again by his formula, your D-158 taxes should be (Fair Cash Value on the your Kane taxes bill) divided by 2,469.14. EXAMPLE 233,469 divided by 2,469.14 = 94.55, however my bill is $224.76 increase. TRY IT OUT to see Mr. Alterayers statement work for you?. (However, the 9,237 property freeze will see a large decrease). 2. In 2019, the D-158 rate went down by 4.75% from 2018.however Mr. Altmayer decided by ignoring the COVID-19, that the 2020 rates will be increase to 6.80%.
3. In fact, Mr. Altmayer advised me that D-158 he wanted 2.5 millions more due from the COVID-19. However, after several e-mail, Mr. Rowe agree that there will close to 2 million surplus (rebate) next year, contrary to Mr. Altmayer wanted. 4. Please looked your current taxes, all of the Taxing District were not less than 1.00%, only Fire District was 2.00% .and guess what, the Village of Huntley down about -2%. It appears that our Taxing Districts, (except D-158) realized that COVIS-19 was terrible financial burden to the Huntley tax payer…however, D-158 wanted 6.80% more; 5. In addition, District 203 will repay taxpayers of $10 million surplus (2020) to the property owners. They said that utilities, transportation, food service and staffing was the factor of the Surplus. Similarly, D-303 will reduce next year budget buy $3 million. In addition, D-300.will be abating under $982,055.
