In America, voters should have the final say. But Trump and far-right extremists engaged in a criminal conspiracy by helping to promote and pay for election sabotage efforts that culminated in the deadly attack on our country on January 6.
The January 6 House Select Committeeās public hearings presented the facts about this attack and its lead up. The Committeeās investigation has been nonpartisan and factual. It has revealed with undeniable clarity that the āBig Lieā was just that ā a campaign of lies about widespread election fraud without evidence and no less that 60 lawsuits showing just that judge after judge, including those appointed by Trump himself, rejected, tossed out or altogether dismissed such claims of election fraud, as did a vast number of election audits.
The Committee has also shown Trump was well aware that he did indeed lose the election, but persisted in making claims to cast doubt and even overturn lawful election results. Worse, Trump admitted to knowing that the Justice Department couldn’t change the results, but he just wanted them to inject doubt into the electorate to allow him and his GOP henchman to pull off the coup.
He then ignored his own legal advisers who advised him what he was doing was illegal and continued directly pressuring multiple people to help him defraud the American people. The end result of their efforts was a violent coup attempt on Jan. 6 that cost multiple lives, left hundreds injured, and announced to the world that American democracy was faltering.
We must support the January 6 Committee in investigating and holding accountable everyone involved in this crime ā to both ensure it never happens again and make sure that our elected leaders respect the will of the people

I am a supporter of pro-life and in every instance. The Roe v Wade should never have become the law of the land since it advocates and allows the killing of innocent babies. It has now become lawlessness in every way. The politicians who have made it possible to kill babies in the ninth month of pregnancy have removed the sanctity of life not only in pregnancy but we are seeing this in our entire cultural. Killing has become so common that we are seeing it in our schools, in shopping centers and concert events and many other public areas including churches.
When we say pro-choice we are neglecting the choice of the infant who is voiceless. Who is there to speak for these innocent lives but those of us who want to preserve the rights of all human life.
What will be next? Will the courts now decide who can live and who can die at a certain age?
I totally disagree that women do not make the choice to terminate a pregnancy casually as evidenced by the number of young people who no longer need parents consent to abort in the state of Illinois. Those who choose abortion over adoption have not considered the life of the child they have conceived.
God help us if we do not stop the insanity that is happening in this country every day especially in the millions of lives lost through abortion in 50 years.
