The Huntley Heaters, a team made up of softball players from the Sun City Softball League, played in a senior 16” softball tournament in Elk Grove Village on July 13. Four teams played in this round robin tournament and the Huntley Heaters won the Silver Medal. Members of the Heaters include Mike Anderson, Fred Gehrig, George Goodhue, Mike Grantham, Don Grex, Chuck Hund, Mike Kaczmarek, Don Kamps, Ed Levkulich, Rich Pearl, John Roccosanto, Rick Sebastian and Jeff Williams. Managers for Heaters were Brian Schroeder and Gary Krewer. Rick Sebastian, a former player in the Sun City Softball League, traveled from Florida to pitch 3 games, winning two.
The Heaters are looking forward to playing is this senior softball tournament 1n 2023.
