Bob McGouey, Sun City Board Treasurer, reported that “there was a $261,000 favorable variance to the budget in operating results due to a $166,000 favorable revenue variance accompanied by a $95,000 variable variance in lower expenses through the third quarter.”
Some of the details were “advertising, restaurant and room reservations revenue were $63,000 more than the budget while payroll and utilities expenses were $205,000 less than the budget,” added McGouey.
McGouey concluded, “year-to-date, there were 237 home sales in 2022 as compared to 273 in 2021.”
In comparison, there were 240 home sales year-to-date in 2020 and 266 in 2019.
