Itâs 2023, but unfortunately, I must start on a sad note. Shortly before Christmas, I learned that My Sun Day News lost one of its own with the passing of Larry Feldman.
Many people inside this media didnât really know Larry. In fact, I didnât work with Larry very often, as he was under the management of our former Advertising Manager Kurt Kuehnert. Despite Larryâs soft presence in this media company, he was never overlooked by those who did know and work with him.
Larry Feldman started work with White Silo Media in 2015 as an Advertising Prospector. It was his job to locate prospective advertisers then assist our general advertisers in securing sales. Throughout his tenure, Larry secured a number of advertisers that continue to this day.
Among his many favorable attributes, I have to say that Larry had an amazing phone presence. Not to say his physical presence was lacking in any capacity (it wasnât, he was always a delight to be around), but my father, who did much of his work over the phone, taught me a long time ago that a phone presence was an important attribute to have, and Larryâs was among the best. He really had a way of getting people excited, and in our personal conversations he was always, as he said it, âReady to rock and roll.â He was always upbeat.
I donât know much about Larry personally other than that he loved his family, his dogs, and Stephen King novels.
As we start the new year, hereâs to you, Larry. Your absence is felt and despite the sadness of this loss, weâll honor your enthusiasm and rock and roll into the new year.
