The Huntley Area Public Library now offers Kanopy, a streaming movie service. By introducing Kanopy to your devices, you can explore films that matter.
Use Kanopy on your tablet, smartphone, computer, or smart TV. Stream a wide variety of content for all ages anytime, anywhere to your preferred devices with no fees and no commercials.
To use Kanopy, you’ll need to enter your library card information and create a Kanopy account. We recommend doing this in a web browser, but you can also set up your account in the Kanopy app for iOS or Android.
Once you set up your account, you’ll have access to movies, TV series, incredible documentaries from PBS and the BBC.
Kanopy does feature some content that is not for children, so you may wish to explore the parental settings on your devices. However, there is an entire video library specifically for the kiddos to explore – Kanopy Kids. This area is full of quality content specifically for children ages two and up, with a focus on ages 2-8. Best of all kids can enjoy unlimited plays. With your library card you can watch up to 5 films per month, 1 series from the Great Courses, and further more enjoy unlimited plays in Kanopy Kids too. Kanopy content is updated on a weekly basis.
