On Thursday, October 26, the Prairie Lodge in Sun City hosted their bi-annual consumer showcase for residents and the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is an opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and services and residents to do home renovations and plan the next stages of their life.
“It gives all the people here an opportunity to see what improvements they can make on the house or what people are around to help them,” said Helen Gomberg, a volunteer and longtime resident of Sun City.
“It helps people so they don’t have to go around to ten different businesses and get estimates. They can walk right through and get estimates just by walking by the places,” said Jon Kipp, another volunteer and resident of Sun City.
The consumer showcase happens every spring and fall and has been helping residents and the public for over 15 years. “It’s a great opportunity for the residents to bring the community to them,” said Kathy Kent, assistant executive director at Sun City. “It’s like one-stop shopping.”
