During my several years at Sun City, Huntley I have met many kind and wonderful people. When I read the Hang Your Hat and the Political Place comments in My Sunday News, I was amazed at some of the disrespectful writings of some of the people. Everyone is entitled to their point of view, however there is no need to be disrespectful to others when commenting. It is important for individuals to present their thoughts, but we should not judge nor try to force our opinions on others. Let’s put aside our differences and come together as friends and neighbors. It’s time for us to heal as a community.
Let there be peace in the world, and let it begin with us … the residents of Sun City Huntley.

My husband and I attended the 25th Anniversary Celebration at Prairie Lodge on Thursday, October 10, at noon.
I decided to put my purse in the trunk of our car so I wouldn’t have to carry it around with me. After a couple hours we left the event and walked to our car. Lo and behold, when we got to the car our trunk was wide open.
My purse was gone! My heart sank thinking of the things I had in there. We didn’t know what to do so we headed for the Lodge to report it and call the police. At the desk, as I was handed the phone, I saw my purse sitting on the counter! I was so happy I almost cried. After checking my hubby’s ID, I was given my purse and everything was intact.
Huge thank you to whoever was kind enough to hand it in. They left a note with my purse saying they brought it to the desk as they were unable to close the trunk. We both went from feeling totally dejected to feeling totally relieved. We want to thank the Prairie Lodge people and especially the person/persons that handed in my purse. Sun City truly is a great place to live! Thank you,
