This letter is in response to Gail Talbot’s hateful, name-calling of President Trump’s cabinet selections. President Trump has selected the smartest, most successful people in the country to advise him on what must be done to save America. He knows a major course correction will be needed to rescue the United States from the unbelievable damage the Biden administration has done. Ms. Talbot calls these outstanding cabinet choices criminals, alcoholics, and sexual abusers. She obviously has immense hatred in her heart for Conservatives — you know, those folks who want constitutional governance. The people have decided they prefer President Trump’s policies, and oppose a catastrophic continuation of open borders, which have encouraged 20 million illegal aliens, including criminals of every description, to enter the United States. I hope our new president can find a way to hold those responsible for the pain and suffering caused by the open-borders policy accountable.
Rather than calling the Trump cabinet nominees “criminals,” perhaps she should take a hard look at the criminal behavior of the Biden administration. For example, the estimated thirty plus million dollars his son Hunter was able to extract from adversarial countries. What did those countries get in return from this obviously compromised president? By comparison, President Trump never tried to enrich himself while in office. He generously donated his presidential salary to charity.

People with rap sheets already went to the capital Jan. 6, 2021, and viciously attacked the men in blue defending the capital. They stood and saved the lives of the vice president and speaker of the House from death. In Jan. 21, 2025, Trump pardoned them.
He pardoned them when, as defendants, they were captured brandishing and using firearms, stun guns, flagpoles, fire extinguishers, bike racks, batons, a metal whip, office furniture, pepper spray, bear spray, a tomahawk ax, a hatchet, a hockey stick, knuckle gloves, a baseball bat, a massive Trump billboard, Trump flags, a pitchfork, pieces of lumber, crutches, and even an explosive device during the attack on the Capitol. More than 140 police officers were injured, and members of Congress fled the building in fear for their lives.
Officer Faone, who testified before the senate about the attack on Jan. 6, 2020 and about his own injuries, has been targeted by MAGA’s thugs. His family has received vile threats. His 76-yr old mother, who lives alone, had a brick thrown at her house. This fall when she was out raking leaves, a truck pulled up and someone threw feces over her.
This is America being made great again by Trump. Think about that for a while.

It’s become painfully clear that your columns reflect a one-sided narrative that does a disservice to Huntley readers. Every two weeks, we’re treated to a relentless barrage of praise for Democrats and scathing critiques of Republicans. This kind of bias is reminiscent of the mainstream media that many are beginning to see as obsolete. Your recent discussions, particularly Mr. Kerth’s fixation on the term “Oligarchs” and Ms. Talbot’s remarks about Governor Newsom’s handling of fires, highlight this troubling trend.
Mr. Kerth, let’s be honest. You had no qualms when billionaires like Jack Dorsey, Mark Zuckerberg, and George Soros were pulling the strings to benefit your party. You stood silent while Kamala Harris amassed $1 billion for her campaign. You seem to overlook the fact that Joe Biden awarded a Medal of Freedom to George Soros, a billionaire who has funded liberal District Attorneys across the nation, contributing to the chaos and crime we see today. Your outrage over oligarchy is nothing short of hypocrisy, considering how cozy democrats are with these very billionaires when it suits their agenda.
Dear Gail, your assertion that Governor Newsom has no fault regarding the wildfires in California is fundamentally flawed. The fires are exacerbated by the very climate policies championed by the Democratic Party, that have led to the neglect of crucial infrastructure like water reservoirs and fire management resources. Did you know that in 2023 alone, 13,909 fires were started by the homeless in California? The cuts to the fire department, like the $17 million slashed by Mayor Karen Bass, are clear indicators of misplaced priorities. Maybe 17 million could have fixed the 100 + fire trucks that are unusable. Yet, you and others in your camp ignore the glaring evidence and focus solely on the narrative that holds no democrat accountable.
To both of you, your columns alienate at least 50% of your readership when politics is involved. It seems that your life experiences have left you unable or unwilling to critically assess the realities around you. I urge everyone who reads your articles to watch the YouTube video titled “Yuri Bezmenov: Warning to America.” This 40-year-old warning sheds light on the deterioration of our education system and the manipulation within our society. While there are many outstanding teachers, the educational system itself is clearly broken.
Finally, let’s not forget that the current strength of our economy is largely due to Trump’s tax cuts, which remain in effect. Overall prices have surged by an average of 20% from 2020 to 2024, and this surge is a direct result of Biden’s policies. It’s time to wake up and acknowledge the realities at hand instead of clinging to a narrative that only serves to divide us further. In closing why are democratic mayors willing to protect rapist, child molesters and murderers rather than deporting them. Something is fundamentally wrong.

Please express my undying gratitude to columnist TR Kerth for helping to educate us poor ignorant savages about the meaning of “oligarch,” Mr. Kerth’s suggested “word of the new year,” and for sharing his fears that the country is about to become one.
Apart from his biases ramblings about the late Henry Ford – who did more than perhaps anyone in history to foster Americans’ freedom of movement – Mr. Kerth seems to think this a new phenomenon peculiar to the incoming administration. Let me assure him that it is not.
If I recall correctly, it was the tech billionaires who run the inaptly-named “social media” platforms who acquiesced to the Biden campaign’s demands to suppress the Hunter Biden story to help insure the election of Joe Biden in perhaps the least transparent Presidential election in US history, and who then colluded with the outgoing (now gone) Biden administration on a daily basis to suppress the growing evidence of Mr. Biden’s obvious incapacity for the job of Chief Executive.
Mr. Kerth seems fond of numbers, so let me add a few. Elon Musk may (or may not) have spent nearly $200 million to help ensure the re-election of President Trump, but Facebook’s (now Meta’s) Mark Zuckerberg spent over double that – $400 million – to help Mr. Biden get elected four years ago. (If anything, then, it would seem he’s a bipartisan “oligarch.”)
As for President Trump’s incoming cabinet members having a greater net worth than that of the outgoing administration, I as a taxpayer would much rather see already wealthy people go into politics than see power-hungry persons go into politics and then become rich, like the Pelosis, the Bidens, the Clintons, the Obamas, and untold members of the House and Senate.
It’s time for all Americans to take the chips off their shoulders and accept that – love him or loathe him – a businessman from Queens, New York, named Donald Trump has now twice won free, fair, and fully transparent elections and is once again the duly elected President of the United States. (And once again, if I’m not mistaken, Mr. Trump has announced that he does not intend to take a salary.)
And that’s the view from here on Planet Earth!
