Mary Nelson, a Sun City resident, is passionate about helping people understand who they are.
“My purpose in life is to help you find the love, peace, and joy of knowing who you really are,” she said.
Nelson is a speaker, workshop coach, and author. Her book, Journey to Awakening: A Guide to Finding Your True Self, is a comprehensive guide that helps you let go of life’s biggest misunderstandings and live abundantly in its most profound truths. It’s about finding answers and discovering joy.
Sun City resident Mary Nelson offers new class to help individuals gain better life perspectives.
Nelson said, “We are defined by our experiences and those who come into and leave our lives. We are beautiful creatures but lose that perception because of certain experiences or people.”
Nelson hopes to help individuals gain better perspectives on their life experiences.
“As a child, the experiences we have, both positive and negative, can significantly shape our perspective on life and lay the foundation for conscious living later on by teaching us valuable lessons about relationships, empathy, self-awareness, and the importance of making mindful choices, even if we don’t fully realize it at the time; essentially, our childhood interactions with people and situations can become the building blocks for how we navigate the world as adults with intentionality,” Nelson said.
Mary Nelson and Jeanne Silvis are committed to making personal growth and self-awareness accessible to all. They are pleased to offer Sun City residents the “Discover the Power of Your Inner Voice” workshop on February 13. This workshop, from 1-3 p.m. in the Hickory Room at Prairie Lodge, will help you heighten your understanding of your instincts through body and energy awareness. Learn to open yourself to the awareness you were born with to move through life’s journey, trusting what you sense. Residents might be familiar with Silvis’s other classes: “Sensational Stretching,” “Meditation,” and “This and That Workout.”
Nelson asks residents to “discover the power of your inner voice.” This involves listening to your intuition and knowing your thoughts and feelings. It can help you identify and change negative thought patterns and find your sense of purpose.
