HUNTLEY – The Village of Huntley investigating a report of a ruse burglary occurring on July 15 at approximately 7 pm in the 11300 block of Dean Street. A man claiming to be with the Village of Huntley Water Department distracted a resident for several minutes in her kitchen.

Please be vigilant against these types of crimes. Village of Huntley employees will always have proper credentials that they will present before asking to enter a home. If in doubt, always call the organization the individual claims to be with or local law enforcement to verify a person’s legitimacy before letting them into your home.
