In her March 24 Management report to the SCCAH Board, Executive Director Deanna Loughran delivered news that Charter Clubs and residents have wanted to hear.

Beginning April 5, all meeting rooms will be open with a 60% capacity or 50 people limits for meetings and other activities. The actual permissible numbers will be published by the facilities department.

Reservations for the MVL and PL fitness centers will also be discontinued on April 5. The maximum capacity for the fitness centers will be increased to 25 for MVL and 12 for PL. The mask and social distancing requirements will remain along with the ā€œclean after useā€ directive. The operating hours for MVL will be expanded to 5:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the weekends. PL fitness center and pool hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the weekends.

The Prairie Lodge pool will resume open hours without the need for a reservation. The sauna and hot tub will remain closed for the foreseeable future.

According to Loughran, existing Charter Club room reservations will be honored for April and May. However, Charter Clubs and Neighborhood groups will be required to submit plans for their activities to the Executive Director by April 18 for the Board to review them at the April 28th Board meeting. The individual Charter Clubs will be contacted with instructions for submitting their activity plans.

The Lifestyles Committee hopes to have more outside activities as the weather improves. They are investigating the possibility of renting tents for some events.

Other news included the announcement of the Golf Cart Parade being scheduled for Saturday, June 26. The actual format will be determined by any Covid-19 restrictions in place at that time.

The Associationā€™s Insurance broker has informed the Board to expect a rate increase of 8% to 10% beginning September first. This increase will have an impact on monthly assessments.

All residents are invited to view the monthly SCCAH Board meetings. At the high point, there were more than 100 viewers watching the March 24 meeting via YouTube.
