Depending on how long youâve lived in Edgewater, some of you may remember us! You may have even wrote for us or appeared in our pages.
Throughout 2013, My Sun Day News (then called the Sun Day) delivered to and covered the Edgewater community. We were well received by residents and other interested readers in the area, but the timing wasnât right and we had to return our focus to the Sun City community in Huntley, which weâve successfully covered since April of 2010.
Since then, our media company has expanded to include the digital platform www.MyHuntleyNews.com, which provides near-daily coverage of Huntley and Huntley-area news, including parts of Elgin.
After ten years away, with a more established community and newspaper, we felt that now was the right time to return to the Edgewater community and reintroduce you to the pages My Sun Day News.
Again, hello!
Inside My Sun Day News, youâll find local and area news coverage, sports, features, previews, classifieds, and more! Mostly, we focus on the amazing achievements and incredible stories of the people within the communities we cover. Newspapers today are packed with âbad news.â And while My Sun Day News agrees with keeping people informed (be it good or bad news), we prefer to put our attention on the lighter, inspiring stuff.
That said, though, it is important to note that for the time being, My Sun Day news isnât going to actively engage the Edgewater community other than delivering to your mailboxes every other Thursday, starting with the present edition on January 12. But our pages remain open to you. Please, if you have a story youâd like to share, have an event youâd like us to preview, either know a person doing something awesome or you are doing something awesome, or have an opinion youâd like seen by others, please let us know by emailing us at mycommunity@mysundaynews.com. And if youâd like to write for My Sun Day News or if you have a column idea, please email your credentials and/or your ideas to kelsey@myhuntleynews.com.
