I received an aggressive, foul-language filled, threatening letter, mailed April 6, from someone who submits to My Sun Day News. It has what most people have come to expect from someone who adheres to the MAGA doctrine. It was addressed to the V.P. American Markist Party (he meant “Marxist”) and Secretary-Communists of America, with a return address of Black Lives Matters, Washington, DC., with a zip code that does not exist. It was foolish. He hoped my grandchildren would be raped and sodomized. I will not further illustrate his letter, other than to say that he enclosed a copy of his last submission to the paper on April 4, with his name cut off at the bottom.
The anger and violence that our MAGA neighbors suffer from should be a warning to every person who lives in Sun City and around our country. Hearing this anger and the threats, however, should only strengthen our reserves.
I am not afraid or intimidated by his letter. I hope that voters wondering who to vote for, up and down the ticket, will read this and realize why we have to save our beautiful democracy. So, get involved, do whatever you can. Do postcards, make calls, write to your local newspapers, and make your voice heard. 2024 is a historic year and it is in our hands now.
