Father’s Day is coming up soon! Feel free to build off of ideas from the Mother’s Day article, including ice cream and other experiences. You could even send this to your kids to spoil you! Now let’s find out how to celebrate Dad this year!
Treat Dad for breakfast
Who doesn’t love a good breakfast or brunch? Located on Huntley’s own Main Street, “Village Inn” offers affordable and delicious meals. Step into their homey restaurant for comfort-food and a fun-filled meal with Dad that’s right around the corner! Give them a visit or a call at (847)669-5858 according to Google. Ejoy!
Visit the Volo Auto and Antique Museum
Located on “Volo Village Road”, Volo Museum offers “a Titanic Exhibit, Jurassic Gardens, [and] train tours” according to their website. That’s not all though! They also have their “antique malls” that feature nostalgic knick-knacks, furniture, and much more to purchase. They are “open daily 10:00am-5:00pm (no admittance after 4:00)”. Try to give Dad a budget though! Check out their website: www.volocars.com.
Give Dad the experience of a Forest Preserve Adventure
Visit “Glacial Park” in McHenry County for amazing views! Pictures and memories almost create themselves. It offers walking trails as well! More information can be found here: www.mccdistrict.org/visit___explore/places_to_go/find_a_site/glacial_park.php. For a forest preserve a little closer to home, there is “Freeman Kame-Meagher Forest Preserve” in Gilberts. It features “fishing, horseback riding, [and] model aircraft fields!” All of these adventures are right here in Illinois! Check it all out at their website: kaneforest.com/location/freeman-kame-meagher.
Wishing a fun and safe Father’s Day to all!
