SUN CITY – Yeehaw! If you are the grandchild of a member of the Grandma, Grandpa and Me Club, mark March 25 on your calendar. This will be the second year of the Round up Rodeo that will take place at the Meadow View Lodge from 1-3 p.m. There will be games, Bozo Buckets, Pin the Tail on the Donkey, bean bags, and many more besides fun crafts. This year they will be coloring a western scarf, and for entertainment, possible line dancing. Refreshments include hot dogs, chips, cookies, and juice and will be served to all attending.
This event is open to Grandma, Grandpa and Me Club members. Tickets are $5/person and children under two are free. Tickets will be on sale on Wednesday, March 14 from 6-7 p.m. outside of the Multi-purpose room in the Prairie View Lodge. This will be the last day to purchase tickets.
The grandchildren are encouraged (as well as the grandparents) to dress in western attire, so dust off your boots and shine your buttons. Grandparents, donāt forget to bring your cameras to capture those āKodak momentsā of your little ones.
Last yearās event was well attended with 75 people. This year the club hopes to entertain more.
Karen Czerwinski reported, āThere was an eight- and nine-year-old [last year] who remarked they had a good time!ā
The Grandma, and Grandpa and Me Club meets the first Wednesday of the month from 7-9 p.m. Karen can be reached at 224-569-6253 with any further questions.
