A couple had been debating the purchase of a new vehicle. He wanted a new truck. She had her heart set on a little sporty car.

“Look,” she said. “I want something that will go from zero to 200 in four seconds or less. And my birthday is coming up. You could surprise me.”

So, on her birthday, he bought her a new scale.


A group of Americans were traveling by tour bus through Holland. As they stopped at a cheese farm, a young guide led them through the process of cheese making, explaining that goat’s milk was used. She showed the group a hillside where many goats were grazing.

“These,” she explained, “are the older goats put out to pasture when they no longer produce.” She then asked, “What do you do in America with your old goats?”

A spry old gentleman answered, “They send us on bus tours!”


My neighbor John came home from work last week and asked his wife, Sue, if she had heard about the 83-year-old woman who talked herself out of a speeding ticket.

“No, I haven’t,” replied Sue. “How did she do that?”

John answered, “She told the young officer that she had to get there before she forgot where she was going!”
