SUN CITY – On June 10, Tony Ocean and The Band are scheduled to play in the Sun City Huntley Prairie Lodge in commemoration of Dean Martin and other artists.
Ocean began his career in music over 30 years ago, playing in different rock ‘n’ roll bands. Ocean also played a Dean Martin character in Chicago Rat Pack for five years. His Rat Pack was based off of the original band made by Sinatra, Martin and other singers and actors in the 50s and 60s.
“That’s why we thought Martin’s birthday would be appropriate, because he played the character for so long,” said band manager Bill Vaughan.
Ocean will not only play in celebration of Dean Martin’s birthday (June 7) but will also play tribute to Frank Sinatra, Davis, Darin and other various musicians.
“[Ocean] will be honoring Dean Martin, but the show will be so much more,” Vaughan said.
