Last year’s show had audience and dancers smiling and laughing when they closed the show with their rendition of “Gangnam Style.” In this year’s show, the Hoofers and Hunks are hoping to put a smile on everyone’s face again, with the dances they are performing. The theme for this year is “Because we’re Happy, We love to tap.” The Hunks will be told to “Hit the Road” and the Hoofer’s will be dodging “Raining Men.” There will be “Devils in Disguise” and dancers “Stepping in Time.” Some nostalgic songs will be tapped to, including “The Mickey House Club,” and “42nd Street.” The songs in the show will encourage the audience to clap or sing along to while the Hoofers and Hunks show off their tap skills and sense of humor.

Tap dancing has become a very popular way to get good exercise and help keep the mind sharp. Tap dancing uses almost every muscle in the body and is a good way to strengthen the whole body. It improves endurance (1,500 steps per class), muscular strength, agility, balance, and posture. Learning tap steps require the brain to work hard to send messages to your feet, to do the steps correctly, and most importantly, remember the steps.

Come to the Hoofer and Hunks show for an entertaining event and join a class in October for great exercise and fun.
