Huntley PNC Bank branch set to close

As of July 16, there will be only eight banks on Illinois Route 47 in Huntley. The PNC Bank branch at the south end of Huntley is closing then.

The surfacing of optimism

Optimism and confidence are slowly replacing fear and despair by COVID wary seniors. This is certainly a departure from months and months of unrelenting stress of a high risk senior population.

Sun City residents may have heard of Senior Services Associates (SSA), but still not be all that familiar with what it is this non-profit does. Beginning in 1973, this non-profit got its start by meeting the needs of community seniors and disabled individuals by offering adult day care at a center in Elgin.

Bridging the gap between generations

The topic of generational labels can sometimes cause a stir amongst the different groups. As of recent, the most publicized clash has been between Generation Y or the Millennials and the newer, Generation Z. McHenry County Board Chairman highlights the COVID-19 pandemic in State of the County Address

On Tuesday, April 20 McHenry County Board Chairman Mike Buehler, gave his first ever State of the County Address. The presentation which was streamed via the county’s YouTube channel and available to watch on the McHenry County Government’s Facebook page, allowed Buehler to give some insight into what the county has done in terms of overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic.
