Annette Goode, 79, was an 18-year resident of Sun City. She moved to Lebanon, TN, in 2023 to be near her grandchildren. She passed on July 8 after a brief cancer illness. Annette was a native of Chicago and attended Resurrection High School and Mundelein College where she earned her Bachelor of Education degree in 1968. She returned to her high school Alma Mater after college where she began a 43-year career at Resurrection as a history teacher. She later became the College Counselor and Guidance Department Chair. She married David Goode in 1972 and celebrated their 50th Anniversary at St. Mary Church in 2022. Her sons, Dave and Andrew, joined her husband at her bedside when she passed. Visitations are planned for Sunday, July 27, at DeFiore Funeral Home from 4 to 7 PM with a Mass at St. Mary on Monday the 28th. Interment will be at All Saints cemetery in Des Plaines. Contributions to the American Cancer Society are requested in lieu of flowers.
